A child’s current skills matter more than their age label. Start with a task they can attempt comfortably, then increase the challenge. These are practice resources for selected skills, rather than complete coverage of a board syllabus.

- Addition and subtraction with regrouping, multiplication facts, sharing and simple length problems.
- Class 4
- Larger numbers, multiplication and division, fraction comparisons and perimeter.
- Class 5
- Fraction operations, decimals, area, unit conversion and time problems.
A 20-minute home or classroom session
- Spend three minutes recalling a related skill or discussing the passage title.
- Model one question aloud, explaining how you choose a method or find evidence.
- Allow ten minutes for independent work. Offer an oral response or extra time when useful.
- Review one successful answer and one misconception. Ask the learner to explain a correction.
