Free school learning in India: a K–12 resource guide

K–12 means kindergarten through Class 12. The right resource depends on the learner’s stage, school curriculum and current skills. Udayy currently publishes selected Class 3–5 practice resources and CBSE Class 10 maths and science lessons. This guide also points to official resources for stages our own lessons do not yet cover.

Kindergarten and early primary

Start with conversation, shared reading, counting familiar objects and explaining simple patterns. A short activity with an adult can be more useful than a long worksheet. Look for material at the child’s current language and number level. The DIKSHA platform provides school-learning resources; use its available filters to find relevant content.

Primary school: Classes 3–5

Practise one skill at a time, then ask the learner to explain the method. Our primary maths worksheets cover arithmetic, fractions, decimals and word problems at selected levels. Our English reading-comprehension worksheets combine original passages with questions and suggested answers. All six worksheets have printable PDFs.

These resources can suit many children under 12, but age is not a placement test. Offer a simpler task if the child needs support and a reasoning challenge if the calculations or passage are already easy.

Middle school: Classes 6–8

Connect new ideas to earlier skills: fractions support ratio and algebra, while reading evidence supports science and social-science explanations. Use the official NCERT textbook portal for the appropriate class and subject, and confirm your school’s current book list. Udayy’s own middle-school chapter lessons are not yet published.

Secondary school: Classes 9–10

Start with the chapter goal, work through examples, then practise without looking at the solution. Our Class 10 maths collection includes real numbers, polynomials, quadratic equations and arithmetic progressions. The science collection includes chemical reactions, acids and bases, life processes and electricity.

Use the CBSE 2026–27 curriculum to check the official scope. A worksheet or set of “important questions” supports revision; it does not predict the examination or replace the full syllabus.

Senior secondary: Classes 11–12

Choose resources for your actual subject combination and board. Check prerequisites before starting a difficult chapter, and keep a record of mistakes to revisit. The official NCERT portal and CBSE curriculum provide starting points; Udayy has not yet published a complete Class 11–12 course.
