This Class 4 skills worksheet is designed for a short practice session with pencil and paper. It is an independent Udayy resource, not a reproduction of a school textbook or a complete syllabus. Choose it by the skills your child has already learned; a class label is a guide, not a requirement.
Before you begin
Try the first two questions together. Ask the learner to say which operation they will use and why. Then let them attempt the remaining questions independently. Keep the answer section covered until the learner has finished. Allow 20–30 minutes and extra time if needed.

For parents and teachers
Mark the method as well as the answer. If a learner makes a place-value mistake, use columns or draw hundreds, tens and ones. If a word problem is difficult, ask what quantity is known and what must be found before choosing an operation. Work through one similar example, then let the learner retry the original without copying.
An extension task
Ask the learner to write a new word problem using the same calculation as question 9. They should solve it and explain the unit in the answer. Another learner or an adult can check whether the wording gives enough information. This tests understanding beyond recalling an arithmetic fact.
